Please read these terms carefully before using Learnora.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Learnora ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

Learnora is designed for students of all ages. Users under 13 must have parental consent to create an account.

You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
You must verify your email address to activate your account.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post on Learnora. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your content on the Platform.

You may NOT post:

Harmful, offensive, or discriminatory content
Spam or misleading information
Content that infringes third-party intellectual property
Personal information of others without their consent
Advertisements or commercial solicitations

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines without notice.

4. Prohibited Activities

Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform
Using automated tools, bots, or scrapers without permission
Harassing, threatening, or bullying other users
Impersonating another person or organisation
Circumventing security measures or rate limits
Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban without notice or refund.

5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Learnora is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learnora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

Educational content on the Platform is user-generated and should not replace professional educational advice.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uzbekistan.

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

Account data: First name, last name, username, email address, grade/year, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never see your plain-text password).
Profile data: Bio, location, skills, experiences, and profile cover preferences.
Content: Posts, comments, quiz answers, and messages you send.

Information collected automatically:

XP points, quiz scores, and activity data generated from your use of the Platform.
Last active timestamp to support features like streaks.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To personalise your learning experience and show relevant content
To send transactional emails (email verification, password reset)
To display your profile, posts, and activity to other users
To calculate XP, levels, and leaderboard rankings
To enable connections and messaging between users
To improve Platform features and user experience

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following cases:

Other users: Your profile name, username, grade, bio, location, posts, and quiz history are visible to other registered users of the Platform.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Email delivery: We use SMTP services to deliver transactional emails. These services only receive your email address and message content.

Your password, messages, and email address are kept private and are not shown to other users.

4. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we cannot recover your plain-text password.
Authentication uses secure session tokens with expiry dates.
API communication uses Content-Type validation and authorisation headers.
SQL queries use prepared statements to prevent injection attacks.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your own credentials.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access & portability: You may request a copy of your personal data by contacting us.
Correction: You can update your profile information at any time from Settings.
Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Password change: You can change your password at any time from Settings.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your session token, last visited page, and onboarding preferences locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to third parties.

No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts are used on the Platform.

7. Children's Privacy

Learnora is an educational platform intended for students of all ages, including those under 13. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service.

Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information without consent may contact us at support@learnora.uz to request removal.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
